Things to do
From fine dining to long lazy days at the beach, exploring historical market towns and picturesque villages to visiting beautiful nature reserves, theres so much to see and do in the local area. These are just a few of our favourites…
Eating and Drinking
The award winning Gunton Arms in nearby Thorpe Market is set within a stunning thousand acre deer park. Try dining in their impressive ‘Elk Room’ where local meats are cooked in front of you on an open fire. Also at the Vernon Arms next door to the cottage there's great traditional pub food, or relax and have a drink on the large Chesterfield sofa in front of their inglenook fireplace.

Fresh Seafood
Rocky Bottoms is a newly converted brick kiln with an amazing outside eating terrace. Owned by a local fisherman, the seafood is all excellent quality and they even do a great selection of takeaways which you can bring back to the cottage.

Beaches and Seaside Towns
The wonderful traditional seaside resorts of Cromer and Sheringham, and beautiful sandy beaches of Overstrand and Mundesley are all nearby and only a few minutes drive away. Further along the North Norfolk coast is Holkham, Blakeney and Cley or go further east and explore the unspoilt beaches and dunes at Sea Palling, Waxham and Winterton.

Exploring the Area
Southrepps is a great base in which to explore many of the National Trust properties that are close by. Our favourites are Felbrigg Hall & Gardens, Blickling Estate and Sheringham Park.
The Norfolk Broads and cathedral city of Norwich are only 30 minutes drive away or closer by are the beautiful historic market towns of Aylsham and Holt with their lovely cafes, boutique shops and award winning butchers and delis.

Walking and Cycling
Excellent walking and cycling routes can be found directly from the cottage door. Lower Southrepps is home to a nationally important nature reserve which has an 800 metre boardwalk running through it. No.4 Church Street is also in the heart of the Paston Way and Quiet Lanes scheme which has miles of quiet paths, roads and bridleways that provide easy access for both walkers and cyclists through Southrepps to other pretty rural villages up and around the coast.

"Stunning beaches on your doorstep"
"Equipped with everything we needed and finished to such a high standard, we couldn't have asked for more. The stunning garden is a huge bonus and the location is just perfect for exploring Cromer and surrounding areas, with stunning beaches on your doorstep."
